Ben is an applied Behavioural Scientist with over 20 years research-to-practice experience. For the past five years, he has been working within the financial technology sector helping design innovative solutions to enable financial institutions detect and investigate market abuse and insider trading. Prior to this, Ben spent 12 years working within central UK Government conducting and translating behavioural science research for law enforcement, defence and security professionals and policy-makers. His PhD, awarded in 2017 by Lancaster University, concerned developing a credibility assessment protocol for law enforcement agencies tasked with assessing and responding to public reported information (tip-offs). Ben is passionate about ensuring research has real world applicability and value.
